The 2nd G-EIGHT Indie Game Show will be held from December 8 to 10, 2023 at EXPO Dome in Taipei, Taiwan.
Indie Game Developers from China, the US, Japan and South Korea Gather at the 2nd G-EIGHT!
“Born From Gamers, Make For Gamers” G-EIGHT Indie Game Show, also known as G8 Game Show, made its debut last year, attracted more than 15,000 visitors, and 88 indie game studios participated in the exhibition. The goal for the exhibition is to become an iconic event for indie games in Asia.
This year, more than 150 games are expected to be displayed by local Taiwan studios in Taiwan, as well as game development studios and publishers from Japan, South Korea, China, and the United States. The organizer also revealed the exhibitor lineup, floor plan and main stage activities.

Over 100 indie game development studios will participate in this year’s event. The exhibitors include Red Candle Games “NINE SOLS”, Shieldbreaking Games “StormEdge”, Cup Dog Games “Rubinite”, buho game “Chef Chen”, Cicada Games “Isles of Sea and Sky”, 7QUARK “Yasha: Legends of the Demon Blade”, BearBone Studio “Minds Beneath Us”, Panty Parrot “The Arrogant Kaiju Princess and The Detective Servant”, and solo developer,LPOMC “LonaRPG” etc., will be bringing their latest work!
In addition to indie studios, indie game publishers from all over the world will also participate in the exhibition, including Taiwan local game publishers Mango Party and EROLABS, US indie game publisher Devolver Digital, Japan indie game publishers PLAYISM and make.ctrl.Japan, and the China Indie Game Alliance (CiGA).

G-EIGHT not only supports indie games, but also help to discover and cultivate future talents, hoping to become the hub for shaping future stars in gaming industry; this year’s “Incubator Zone” will showcase a series of mind-blowing student creations. Through on-site demo gameplay and feedback, you may meet the next future star game producer!
G-EIGHT Indie Game Show Exhibitor Lineup
G8 Limited Cards Collection, Survivor Challenge, and Gamer’s Vote! The event and stage activities will be open to everyone!
The “G8 Collectible Cards” is a limited edition collectable published by G-EIGHT and exhibitors, featuring their games. With more than 9,000 cards being released, the first trial run was held in 2022 and gained very positive feedback. This year, the number of the collection doubled, and also come with an online edition, which can be accessed through the official G-EIGHT Discord channel. Gamers can call out your card collections with the command of “book! Only gamers who have completed the Booth Challenge will be rewarded with both physical and virtual cards!
There are 150 types of “G8 Collectible Cards”, try to collect them in the venue!
The “Gamer’s Vote” is a voting program for the best game titles selected by participanting gamers. It not only increases gaming community participation but also awards the best game of the year a medal of honor from the organizer.
In addition, to support local indie games in Taiwan, game publisher JUSTDAN is cooperating with the G-EIGHT to set up the “JUSTDAN Indie Game Sponsorship Award”.
The award provides adevelopment funding tottal of NTD $300,000 and publishing contracts to support indie developers without publisher. The ultimate goal is to help these teams succeed in the industry, by providing them with the resources they need to turn their games into international hits.
During the event, a variety of activities will also be held on the main stage. For online viewers, the organizer will be on air streaming first-hand interviews with indie developers on their channel at YouTube and Twitch.
There will also be a KOL Group Match for “Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2” and Dance King Challenge for “JustDance 2024”! In addition to the game development teams, 17 Live, Twitch, and the organizer will also invite a number of influencers, live streamers, and Vtuber to the G-EIGHT venue for a variety of activities including singing and dancing performances, as well as autograph marathon!
