Game Intro
Thumbylina is a fingertip-sized companion-style nurturing simulation game device. When you set the in-game timer during study or exercise, the character grows and improves alongside you — unlocking new outfits and hairstyles as you progress. Unlike timer apps on smartphones or PCs, Thumbylina operates completely offline, with no network connection, ensuring you can stay focused without any distracting notifications. This device is developed based on the open-source hardware Thumby. Each unit is handcrafted, making it unsuitable for mass production, but in the future, we aim to release various versions in small batches and promote our very own “Thumbylina Trend”, allowing more people to experience this tiny yet genuine sense of companionship.

Developer Intro
Since 1997, I have been involved in game development and publishing. After working on large-scale payment systems and developing IP games like Ultraman and Crayon Shin-chan at a mobile game company, I went independent. Currently, I am also engaged in game localization and international expansion. The current market environment is similar to the 1990s, when the next-generation game competition led to greater freedom in game development. At that time, players grew tired of complex games and turned to lighter, more accessible experiences like Tetris, Tamagotchi, and Pokémon. This new work aims to become the “Tamagotchi of the 2020s.”
