The Third Edition of G-EIGHT, The Game Show For Gamers, Kicks Off! Gathering International Exhibitors, the Show Leads A New Trend of Interactive Event

The third edition of G-EIGHT will be held on November 29th at the Taipei EXPO Dome.

The G-EIGHT Game Show, to be held from November 29 to December 1 at Taipei Flower Expo, has set the stage for this annual event by announcing breakthroughs in pre-show pre-order merchandise sales, as well as highlights of exhibitor and community events.

A “Gamer’s Game Show” to Promote the Growth of Taiwan’s Independent Game Industry

G-EIGHT’s vision is to create a “Gamer’s Game Show.” G-EIGHT is an international platform exclusively for game developers, promoting communication and interaction between game developers and gamers and encouraging more creativity and innovation. Meanwhile, G-EIGHT is also committed to promoting the globalization of Taiwan’s indie game industry and letting more people know about original game works from Taiwan. Through this exhibition, the organizers hope to create more exposure opportunities for indie game developers in Taiwan and Asia and enhance their influence in the international market.

Pre-Order Sales Boom: Lifetime VIP Package Sold Out in 24 Minutes

During the recently concluded G-EIGHT Pre-Order Merchandise and Early Bird Ticket Event, the specially launched “8888 Lifetime VIP Package” achieved great results, selling out in just 24 minutes after the live broadcast started. The program provided players with limited-edition VIP tickets and exclusive merchandise, attracting many players who support Taiwan’s indie game industry to snatch them up. The program’s success demonstrated gamers’ support and enthusiasm for the G-EIGHT and signaled that the show will receive enthusiastic participation and high interaction rates.

Taiwan, China, U.S., Japan, and Korea Teams Exhibit at the Grand Exhibition

G-EIGHT 2024 gathered many famous exhibitors and new development teams worldwide, adding international color to this emerging exhibition. This year’s show attracted more than 100 indie development teams to participate in the exhibition. This year’s international participation is especially prominent, including Devolver Digital from the United States; PLAYISM, Shueisha Games, and Pocketpair, who is the first time to come to Taiwan, and other well-known Japanese developers; in addition, KOMODO, the distributor of Steam Deck™ in Taiwan, will also come to Taiwan for the first time. Local developers and publishers, such as Justdan Corp and Red Candle Games, will join us for this annual gaming event.

In addition, more than 10 indie development teams from Korea, Japan and China will gather together to showcase their diverse creations, bringing a globalized indie game feast to the audience.

Zero-Distance Interaction between Players and Developers

G-EIGHT 2024 is not only a game exhibition, but also a series of innovative community activities for gamers to get in touch with developers. During the exhibition, a number of developer sharing sessions, live game play areas and instant feedback sessions will be set up to allow exhibitors to experience the game creation process and exchange their creativity and ideas with developers.

In order to enhance the interaction between players and developers, the organizer has launched a physical deck exchange and a real-life puzzle activity. Players will be able to collect exclusive cards from exhibitors and games, exchange them with other players, and even take part in specific challenges to obtain limited edition cards. Meanwhile, the official ARG will allow attendees to enter a world of real and virtual puzzles, demonstrating the innovation and fun of G-EIGHT and increasing the opportunities for interaction with developers and other players.
